The HÅG Story
HÅG's seating solutions are the result of a belief that people are not designed to sit still, but naturally tend towards movement and variation, hence "the HÅG movement". In modern life we spend much time sitting around and take inadequate regard of the body's innate need for activity. We don't just need chairs for support, but seating solutions that stimulate variation and movement as well.
In the HÅG seating concept the feet govern movement, and the chair encourages you to constantly vary your sitting position - without you being aware of it. This movement stimulates the circulation and you feel better both physically and mentally, meaning you can concentrate on the work you're doing.
We like HAG seating solutions because they bring movement and variation to the workplace.
All development and production of HÅG seating is based on our four guiding principles: Dynamic ergonomics, environment, visual design and quality.
The unique HÅG concept
The common denominator in all HÅG's sitting solutions is sitting in balance - in itself the best starting point for movement. From a point of balance you can lean forward just as easily as you lean backwards. The seat front drops down as you lean forward to work and rises as you lean back to rest. This encourages you to use your legs and is good for your blood circulation - HÅG call it FootControlledMovement. The chair naturally follows as you change to your next sitting position - without you even thinking about it. You can concentrate on your work while your circulation delivers the necessary nutrition to your working muscles.
HÅG's chairs respond to the human body. You control the chair on the basis of your need for movement and variation. When sitting quietly, the chair feels locked in position (Body Lock). In HÅG's chairs you have full freedom of movement and full control.
There are any number of sitting positions - and the next one is always the best!
